I don't believe in bashing another person or site. Those people are the ones that all the libel suits are about. I won't tell you not to visit another site or person's website. They deserve the right to sell as I do.
I was raised if I can't say something nice not to say anything. Everyone is different and everyone does things different than others. For that you can't say what they do is wrong if it works for them. If everyone did things the same it would be very boring world and there would be only ONE seller. Wouldn't need any other.
So before you think she doesn't know what she is talking about please checkout other places. There are places and people that are out there to take advantage of anyone but most are good people and mean no harm to anyone.

For the Seekers of the Future
For those that are looking for a new home instead of Ebay. There is no site better than the other and when someone tells you that theirs is better they are not telling you everything. Read in a forum that some are thinking of starting their own site. Believe me it is alot of work to start a site and keep it going. Not only money but you can put in alot of work and their will always be someone there to put you down.I would never tell you to use this site and not to use another site. What I would like you to do is try a number of different sites at one time. Alot of work but you can tell what will sell at what site. I don't sell the same item on any site. One I can sell records but no luck anywhere else. Another I can sell ebooks but no where else does anyone buy them. Another back issue magazines. The list goes on.
For those that think they have to tell you what is good and bad, those are the ones that I would watch out for. They are never happy with anything and can make your life miserable. They are wishy washy and change their minds with a drop of a hat. Only you can figure out what is right for you and no one else.
So for those leaving Ebay looking for a new place, be the driver of your own life and do what is best for you and no one else. And Good luck it will be alot of work but it is worth it.

First you need to start a blog and write in it something that you are knowledgable in. Like something that you might be selling. Alot of people sell books but you never see any blogs about any authors or their books that they write.
Do your research on the subject that you pick. It will be easier if you already know some or all of your subject. If you have a passion about something start to write about that and you will find it very easy. You never know who will be out there interested in what you write.
If you have a charity that you are wanting to help. Write about that and what percentage you are donating to it through your sells.
After you have your blog written. It is time to look around and see where there is some social bookmarking sites. I will try to put a small list in here for anyone that would like to find some or new ones.
After joining a social bookmarking site. You can submit the url to your blog. Be sure to use the right tags. They will bring the people in that you are looking for.

Different Forums
With each forum you have to take with a grain of salt. They can be informative but also you will find alot of smear campaigns. Everyone has the right to speak their mind. But telling someone about a site and smear campaign are two different things.
When you see a smear campaign you will also notice that one person against sereval people. Is that fair? Is it fair for another to tell people not you buy or sell from a site. NO. What is right is to let people know what happened to you and leave it at that. And only do that if you have tried to resolve the problem yourself first.
Too many people are wanting and demanding things they have no right to do. When you win a contest, be patient on the prize. Not everyone is the same and most will work to get what you won. Getting inpatient only hurts you.
So before you decide to run a smear campaign be ready to lose friends that you thought you had. Most will not take it laying down.
Think with your head and not with your heart. Things work out alot better and you don't feel hurt when that one friend you thought would just let you run over them, doesn't.

The Bad Way to Brand Yourself
You can also brand yourself in forums as a troll. Anyone that is trying to make money should never be branded as a troll.They are unwelcomed in other forums and unwelcomed in sites. Very hard for them to join up anywhere so they have to depend on their own store. And that too will be a bad choice.
When a owner of a forum allows trolls to cause trouble they too are branded as a troll magnetic. I have seen them brag about what they do. Why brag about hurting another? Why brag about all the BAD attention you are getting? You only Branding yourself in a bad way. Then there are the ones that say why me. You lie. You don't know what you are talking about.
Actions speaks volumes where words are just words. I will believe a person by their actions before their words. All of us can talk but not of us can show people what we really are made of. This is scary to a troll for someone to see what they are really made of. No one will listen to them anymore.
If you listen to the trolls then you are a follower and not a leader. They depend on followers to help them. They really think that no one has a brain of their own and people will listen to them over someone else. Every story has two sides if you don't look at both sides you are the one that is missing out and the TROLLS have won.
Please don't think that if you follow them they won't turn on you. Just watch how they turn on each other when there is no one else to blame for things that are going on in their lifes. A trolls life is a very sad one for they have to blame everyone instead of taking responsiblity for what is going on.
